The European research project FLYSAFE was the first decisive step towards the "VISION 2020" produced by ACARE, for safety in airspace, and was Nima's start into large scale research projects. Within the project he worked on new ASAS applications, lead various work packages as Work Package Lead and had the role of the Company Project Manager for TU Darmstadt. 

At the end of December 2019 Lufthansa Group announced a strategic partnership with Google to develop a revolutionary system for airline operations.

As Strategy Manager Group Digitalisation, Innovation and Transformation it was Nima's responsibility to develop the idea further with a select team of internal experts and prepare this partnership. 

PartsMate // Product Owner

partsMate is a smart asset optimization platform that gives airlines access to a trusted global network to find and share aircraft parts when and where they need them. Powered by Lufthansa Technik’s asset management knowledge and experience, it enables stock level optimization and increased material availability.

Nima as Strategy Manager Digitalisation for Lufthansa Technik's Component Services business unit developed the idea, pitched it successfully as an innovation project and lead the development as product owner. 

PartsMate was the Winner of Innovator Award 2017 for most disruptive business idea by the Lufthansa Group.

The concept is now integrated into Aviatar.
